Techie Tips/Recommendations

Are you one of those busy types in Clarendon, Fairfax County or Washington DC who often has their voicemail get lost for 2-3 days before you realize there was an important message in there?  If so then CallWave is likely the answer you\'ve been waiting for.  I first heard about it from a fellow real estate blogger Daniel Odio in his post You Can Read Your Voicemail...Using CallWave.

I've decided to add a more stuff to this blog.  Until now I've been pretty disciplined with it being 100% real estate focussed.  Well if it\'s 95% real estate focus I doubt I'll lose many fans.  In the process of the last 2 years and building a 200 page website I've come across some great techie stuff that many people would love to know about.  And I've decided to share the wealth with occasional postings.  However they will only be posted when a real estate blog article is posted.  That way if one is subscribed they will not get anything non real estate related by itself since they didn't sign up for that.  Make sense? \"\"

CallWave -- Check this out!

For those of you who check email perhaps 10-40x/day and often miss voicemail because you\'re busy, here\'s what CallWave offers--the chance to have your all your voicemail from missed calls or unanswered calls forwarded to you as text in email and text message.  This way you never miss a call again.  Because it will be emailed to you.  And if the person does not leave a message you still receive a text message of their phone number and an email of the phone number who called you.  And you can even go and listen online to messages but of course the main point is to receive those missed messages as text via email.

Her'es another but not as a photo:

(Vtxt) How Jay, this is -------------. Talked to you a week or so ago and we're scheduled to meet with you tomorrow morning at 10:00am. Just want to let you know that we're still ready to go, and assuming we're gonna come by your office at a 3315 West [...] Highway. My number is ------------. If you wanna give me a call just to confirm or send me an email. Right I don't have email access. I sent you an email this morning, so you may have already responded, but I haven't been able to check. So anyway just want to touch bases with you, make sure we're good to go. Thanks a lot, bye-bye.

Vtxt) [...], this is ---------, calling you back. We got into 1021 condo, please call me back and I can give you some detail about the property. Number is --------, thank you. Bye bye.

Summary:

With CallWave you can set up your smartphone to send missed calls, unanswered calls, busy call forwarding to you via text in an email message.  And then you can convert it (the email) on your pda if you've got the right software--I'll blog about  this next time perhaps--you can convert it into a task, meeting, or a call.  CallWave helps busy professionals not miss important calls anymore or helps them to screen calls more effectively and efficiently.
